AUSTRAC enrolment for real estate agencies: step by step

Enrolment takes under an hour with the details ready. Here is the list.

Have ready

  • ABN, legal entity and trading name, licence number.
  • The designated services you provide.
  • Your compliance officer's name and contact.
  • Office address and contact email.
  • The date you first provided, or will provide, a designated service.

Where and when

AUSTRAC Online, from 31 March 2026, within 28 days of first providing a designated service. Free.

The same week

  1. Adopt your AML/CTF program.
  2. Start recording client identification for every new listing and every buyer you act for.
  3. Train the sales team and record it.
